General

What are the deadlines for submitting abstracts?
Speaker abstracts for the 2024 ANIA Annual Conference are no longer being accepted. Poster abstracts are being accepted through December 15, 2023. Please visit https://ania.org/events/2024-ania-annual-conference for more information.

How much is the registration fee? Can I save by registering early?
Yes! The registration fee for the full main conference is:

  • $615 – Member Early (Postmarked on or before April 4, 2024)
  • $715 – Nonmember Early (Postmarked on or before April 4, 2024)
  • $715 – Member Regular (Postmarked after April 4, 2024)
  • $815 – Nonmember Regular (Postmarked after April 4, 2024)

Would I really save that much by registering as a member at the early rate?
Yes! Members save $100 on their registration costs. If you can’t join right now or your employer does not cover membership, you will still benefit from this discount: non-member early rate registrants save $100!

How can I join and register so I’ll receive member pricing right away?
Purchasing ANIA membership will provide your member discount immediately. You have several options:

  • Online: Join or renew your ANIA membership for $99; then visit conference registration and follow the prompts. Your membership discount will apply right away.
  • Mail or fax: Print and complete the registration form. Mark the additional $99 payment for membership and mail to: ANIA, East Holly Ave Box 56, Pitman, NJ 08071; or fax to 856-218-0557

 I’m a member but my discount isn’t showing up online.
Please check that you are logged in to your member account. You should see member pricing before you are asked to enter payment. If you are still having trouble, please contact ania@ajj.com to submit your concern and the National Office will help you.

I registered already but forgot/don’t know how to get my member discount.
Your member pricing will come up automatically once you are logged in to your member account. If you registered and do not believe your member discount was applied, please contact ania@ajj.com and the National Office will help you with your member discount. If you are in the process of registering and you do not see the correct price, do not proceed with checkout; please contact ania@ajj.com and the National Office will help you with your member discount.

What food and refreshments does ANIA provide during the conference?
Attendees receive the following with their full conference registration:

  • Membership/Business Luncheon

How much are the other events?

How do I register on behalf of someone else (a supervisor, an employee, etc.)?
The best way to register on behalf of someone else is to print the registration form and submit it with payment via mail, fax, or email.

I didn’t receive a confirmation.
Be sure to check your spam folder for your confirmation email. Your email server also may have blocked it. Please contact ania@ajj.com and let us know if you have not received your confirmation email.

I just tried to register online and I’m not sure if it went through/I received an error message.
You should receive an auto-generated email confirming your registration and payment within minutes of registering. Please contact ania@ajj.com and let us know if you have not received your confirmation email.

I know I have a login, but I can’t log in to register.
Please contact us at ania@ajj.com before proceeding further and the National Office will help you.

Can I bring a guest? What will they be allowed to attend?
Attendees may purchase a guest badge for $100, which includes admittance to the welcome reception on Thursday (May 9) and the Exhibit Hall on Friday (May 10) and Saturday (May 11).

Cancellation/Transfers

I need to cancel my registration. Can I get a refund?
You may request a refund by the cancellation deadline of April 18, 2024. All requests must be sent in writing to ania@ajj.com, and an administrative fee of $75 will be retained, per the ANIA cancellation policy.

I missed the cancellation deadline. What should I do?
Please contact ania@ajj.com and provide the circumstances of and any official documentation for your cancellation (e.g., doctor’s note, etc). In cases pertaining to medical emergencies, natural disasters, death of a loved one, court dates, and others of serious or unforeseeable nature, refunds beyond the deadline may be considered. This year’s cancellation date is April 18, 2024.

Can I substitute a co-worker since I can no longer attend?
Yes. Please contact ania@ajj.com and provide the following information:

  • Name of current registrant (yourself or your employee)
  • Name of person who will be replacing that individual
  • Completed registration form of the replacement attendee (print the form and write in the margin “replacing [registrant’s name], already registered.” This can be sent via mail, fax, or email (see details below).

Where is the hotel? How much is it per night?

A special rate of $209/single double per night (plus applicable state and local taxes) will be available for ANIA registrants who reference the conference.

Important Note: Hotel reservations should be made through the ANIA reservation link or directly with the hotel. ANIA does not use a housing agency to handle hotel reservations, and no one will call and ask you to make your hotel reservations by phone. Anyone who calls you or sends an email to you who wants to make your reservation is working a SCAM. Hang up or delete the email and do not give them any information.

I’m planning to arrive earlier in the week/stay later in the week. Can I still get the special hotel rate?
The special rate of $209/single double per night (plus applicable state and local taxes), is available for the nights of May 8 through 11, 2024 (based on availability). When do I have to book my room to receive the special ANIA registrant rate?
The conference rate is available until the room block sells out.

Is smoking allowed in the hotel(s)?
The hotel is a non-smoking facility.

Will all conference activities take place within the hotel?
All sessions and events will take place in Hyatt Regency Chicago, which has been designated as the official hotel for the 2024 ANIA Annual Conference.

What is nearby that I can do for fun?

Sessions / Handouts

Can I make session changes?
Yes, session changes can be made once a registration has been processed or when you arrive onsite at the conference. You can modify your registration by clicking on the “View or modify an existing registration” option of your confirmation email and signing in with the username and password you used to register. If you have trouble modifying your session selections, please contact aniareg@ajj.com for further assistance.

Note: You will receive a confirmation email for session changes.

How do I download handouts?
Session handouts are available approximately 2 weeks prior to the annual conference.
ANIA will email all registered attendees with instructions to download the handouts via the Conference Event Page which serves as the hub for all conference information for both in-person and livestream registrants.

ANIA does not provide any printed handouts onsite. If you wish to have a hard copy of the handout material, you should print them ahead of time.

How do I receive a copy of the program book for attendees?
ANIA does not provide a printed program book for attendees. The electronic program packet containing general attendee information related to the conference is posted on the ANIA Conference Event Page.

The program packet is available approximately 2 weeks prior to the annual conference. A link to the program packet is included in the session handout notice email provided to attendees.

Contact Hours

How many contact hours will the conference offer?
The main conference will offer at least 11.0 contact hours. Additional contact hours are available if you register for a preconference workshop or the Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course workshop.

Where do I earn contact hours?
Attendees receive a certificate for contact hour credit after completing the overall conference and individual session evaluations via the Conference Event Page. Information on how to evaluate sessions and receive contact hours is included in the electronic program packet for attendees, as well as an email in the weeks following the conference with instructions. To earn contact hours, you will need to log in to the ANIA Conference Event Page with your ANIA username and password and complete session evaluations.

Is there a deadline for earning contact hours?
You will have approximately 4 weeks after the conference ends to complete your session evaluations to earn contact hours. You will receive multiple emails alerting you to the deadline date.

How do I obtain a certificate of attendance or proof of my contact hour credit?
ANIA does not mail certificates of attendance. If you require a record of or proof of attendance, we recommend printing your contact hour certificates. You receive one certificate per evaluated session. A record of all sessions evaluated also is available on your CNE/NCPD transcript. The information is available in the ANIA Online Library as follows:

  • Log into the ANIA Online Library (link to https://library.ania.org/)
  • Choose “My Account.”
  • Select “CNE/NCPD Transcript.”

Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course

Can I add the Certification Review Course after I am already registered?
Yes, you may add the nursing informatics certification review course after your registration has been processed or when you arrive onsite at the conference provided that there are still session seats available. You can modify your registration by clicking on the “View or modify an existing registration” option of your confirmation email and signing in with the username and password you used to register. If you have trouble modifying your session selections, please contact aniareg@ajj.com for further assistance. Please note that extra fee will apply if adding the certification review course to an existing main conference or daily registration.

Note: You will receive a confirmation email for session changes.

Do I have to attend the whole conference if I am only interested in the Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course?
No, you may register to attend the Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course only. Simply register for the course only.

Do I have to purchase the nursing informatics exam study guide?
You receive a print copy of the Informatics Nurse Exam Secrets Study Guide as part of the Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course workshop fee. The study guide is provided onsite to workshop attendees.

Is the nursing informatics certification exam offered after the Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course?
The nursing informatics certification exam is not offered at the ANIA Annual Conference. The nursing informatics certification exam is administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) which is a separate entity from ANIA. Visit the ANCC website (link to https://www.nursingworld.org/our-certifications/informatics-nurse/) at for more information.

Financial Questions

I think I was overcharged when I registered.
Your fee is based on your membership status, the date you register (before or after the Early Bird deadline), whether you are also attending additional events (pre-conference workshops, Nursing Informatics Certification Review Course), and whether you qualify for additional discounts (certification or presenter discount).

You should receive a receipt automatically at your primary email address. Please review and let us know if you think something is incorrect. Please contact ania@ajj.com to submit your concern and the National Office will help you.

I need an invoice so my employer can pay.
Please contact ania@ajj.com for this request, noting for whom the registration is designated and any other information you would like on the invoice, such as purchase order number (PO#) and billing address.

When handling payment via your employer, we recommend making these requests to your employer far in advance since the entire process of requesting payment often takes longer than expected.

I need a receipt for my employer.
You should have received a receipt automatically at your primary email address (check your spam folder). If you do not see it or need additional detail, such as the credit card information used for the transaction, contact ania@ajj.com, noting exactly what you need.

I/My facility sent payment a month ago and I haven’t heard anything.
Please check your junk or spam folder. Sometimes the email is blocked or filtered to spam. If you do not find an email confirmation of payment, you believe your facility has sent a check, and you still have questions, call 866-552-6404 and the National Office will help you. You may also contact ania@ajj.com. Please supply the check number, date, amount, and facility name.
Note: If your employer arranged payment for your registration, it is also recommended to follow up with your Accounts Payable department to verify payment was sent.

I need a W9 form.

Is there a student discount?
Nursing students are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference, but there is no special student rate. Regular member/non-member rates apply.
