This in-depth focus session will focus on areas related to women's health. Part 1: APRNs in primary care are uniquely positioned to identify and manage menopausal symptoms within a geriatric framework, using tools such as the 5Ms (mind, mobility, medications, multi-complexity, and what matters most) to guide individualized, whole-person care. Using a case study approach, menopause care will be integrated with geriatric assessment. The goal is to radically relieve suffering, reduce polypharmacy and morbidity, and dispel the myths and silence surrounding this natural—yet often challenging—process. It is time for the APRN world in primary care to address menopause as both a normal life experience and a critical factor in healthy aging. Part 2: This section will equip APRNs with practical, evidence-based strategies for comprehensive assessment, accurate classification, and optimal management of female urinary incontinence across the lifespan.
