Dr. Joan Zaccardi is clinical assistant professor at Moravian University and is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in women’s health and urogynecology. She has focused her career on caring for woman across the life span with bladder and pelvic floor dysfunction and has a strong focus on disease prevention and management in the primary care setting. She is a frequent speaker on women’s health at local, national, and international conferences and has published articles on women’s health issues. Dr. Zaccardi actively participates in research studies both as investigator as well as a study coordinator. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Drexel University, a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Rutgers University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Monmouth University, and board certification as a family nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing center. Dr. Zaccardi is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is the co-chair of the AANP women’s health specialty practice community and immediate past chair and current member of the new fellow selection committee. She was honored by the March of Dimes 2017 “Nurse of the Year” award in Women’s Health.
