Speaker Bio
Dr. Margaret Huryk is an assistant clinical professor at Seton Hall University, where she teaches gerontology and pharmacology to undergraduate nursing students, as well as pharmacology and health assessment to nurse practitioner students. In addition to her academic role, she has practiced in post-acute care and long-term care for the past 26 years, managing the complex healthcare needs of older adults across the spectrum of wellness—from robust older adults to frail residents in state and county facilities. Her clinical and academic work reflects a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for older adults, particularly residents with type 2 diabetes mellitus in PAC/LTC settings, a topic on which she has presented and lectured.
