Description
This session presents a practical, repeatable approach to defining clinical problems using jobs to be done and jobs to be done (JTBD) and outcome-driven innovation (ODI) within nursing informatics practice. JTBD reframes clinical work by identifying the underlying “jobs” clinicians are trying to accomplish, while ODI provides a systematic method to define desired outcomes and the measure friction of accomplishing these outcomes. Together, these approaches provide a framework that shifts from solution-driven to problem-driven design. Participants will learn how to apply these methods in practice.
