Yet many highly qualified nurse informaticists struggle to present their unique blend of clinical and technical experience effectively in today’s competitive job market. To support the professional growth and advancement of this specialized workforce, this interactive preconference workshop will provide attendees with expert-led guidance on resume development, interview preparation, and workforce trends. Led by a team of nursing informatics leaders and a healthcare workforce strategist, this session will guide participants through the process of building and refining a resume that effectively highlights their informatics skills, systems expertise, leadership, and project outcomes. Participants will gain insights into current hiring trends, workforce demands, and key attributes that employers are seeking in both early-career and experienced nurse informaticists. Attendees will receive personalized feedback, engage in mock interview practice, and leave the session with a polished, updated resume and a clearer understanding of how to navigate future roles across clinical, vendor, consulting, and academic domains. This workshop will directly support ANIA’s commitment to strengthening the nursing informatics pipeline, equipping attendees to advocate for themselves and their profession with confidence and clarity.
