Dr. Pat Shirey is the vice president of clinic operations for ambulatory specialty care within Parkland Health in Dallas, Texas. She has over 35 years of experience in health care, with three decades dedicated to leadership in large, academic ambulatory care settings. In her current role, she oversees more than 150 specialty care clinics, including cardiology. Dr. Shirey holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Health Care Administration degree, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She is board certified in ambulatory care nursing and was honored with the DFW Great 100 Nurses Award. A committed advocate for ambulatory nursing excellence, Dr. Shirey is an active member of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing and serves on the Texas Organization of Nurse Leaders Education Committee.
