Dr. Jean Bernhardt is an administrative director and nurse practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, with more than 30 years of experience caring for patients with substance use disorder. She received her master's degree in education from the University of Virginia and her PhD degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. In addition to her nurse executive and clinical practice, she is an assistant professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in its doctoral nursing program. She has publications in the Journal of Substance Use and Misuse and the Journal of Addictions Nursing.
