Description

Insufficient orientation experiences that fail to prepare new and experienced nurses for ambulatory care services often contribute to increased turnover rates and compromises care delivery to patients. This session will discuss the development of an ambulatory care transition-to-practice (ATTP) program that facilitates the successful transition of experienced nurses to the ambulatory care setting through the completion of a structured evidence-based educational program that prepares the nurse to practice competently and safely.
