Dr. Robin Arends is a dual-certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She received her MS degree as a FNP in 2008, her DNP degree in 2014, and her post-graduate certificate as a PMHNP from South Dakota State University. She is the APRN program director at South Dakota State University. Her clinical practice focuses on delivering acute and chronic primary and psychiatric care to residents of long-term care facilities and assisted living facilities through telehealth. Dr. Arends is interested in providing high-quality education through simulation to graduate nursing students to enhance learning and improve care provided to patients.
