Dr. Carli Carnish is an assistant professor and BSN program director at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been in clinical practice as a certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner since 2014. Dr. Carnish also completed the CWRU University Center on Aging and Health’s (UCAH) gerontology certificate program in 2014 and now serves as a faculty associate for the UCAH. Dr. Carnish maintains both educational and leadership positions at CWRU and has taught geriatric nursing courses for both the prelicensure and graduate nursing programs since 2016. She is a member of the National Hartford Center for Gerontologic Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE) and was awarded the Distinguished Educator in Gerontologic Nursing by NHCGNE in 2023. In August 2025, she joined the Parkinson’s Foundation Edmond J. Safra Nurse Educator Scholars Program. In her current practice, she serves adults and older adults in the inpatient setting as a consultant for the UH Lake Health palliative medicine team. Dr. Carnish also serves on the University Hospital APP Conference Planning Committee. Dr. Carnish is the current president and former treasurer for the Ohio Chapter of GAPNA, serving on their board for over 5 years.
