Description
The older adult population of the US is projected to reach 82 million by the year 2050, and this will lead to a drastically increased need for advanced practice nurses with gerontological expertise. Older adults deserve access to providers who possess specialty training in the management of people in their age group, the majority of which suffer from multiple comorbidities and complex health conditions. This session will explore the critical evidence-based considerations and variations in the way that acute and chronic health conditions should be managed in older adults.
