This session will be an in-depth overview for those looking for a comprehensive overview regarding care of older adults. A comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) includes screening in multiple geriatric domains. To identify the complex needs of an older adult in the community, the primary provider must be an astute diagnostician while maintaining a reasonable workflow in a busy clinic. This workshop will provide an overview of domains that include frailty, nutrition, fall risk, function, cognition, and depression. Tools will be introduced for medication, sleep, caregiver readiness, and strain, and a clinical case and chart will be provided, allowing for hands-on practice with appropriate screening tools. Assessment and recommendations for the patient are the goal of the final discussion. This session includes the content that will be presented as session 050.
