Dr. Anna Schoenbaum is vice president and chief digital applications officer at Penn Medicine. A nationally recognized digital health leader, Dr. Schoenbaum's work focuses on artificial intelligence, precision health, digital transformation, and data-driven care models. She serves on the HIMSS AI policy task force, co-chairs the Alliance for Nursing Informatics, and advises national organizations on the responsible adoption of AI and emerging healthcare technologies. Her previous leadership roles include co-chair of the HIMSS nursing innovation advisory workgroup, member of the Maryland HIMSS board, and member of the ANA precision health competencies workgroup. Dr. Schoenbaum is adjunct faculty at both the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the University of Maryland School of Nursing. A fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and HIMSS, she was named one of Becker's Healthcare's Women in Health IT to Know in 2026, received the HIMSS–ANI Changemaker in Nursing Informatics Award in 2023, and was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing in 2024.
