Nursing documentation is a substantial contributor to workload and electronic health record related stress in inpatient settings. Ambient artificial intelligence that generates structured documentation from nurse-patient conversations has the potential to reduce documentation burden, but evidence for its effectiveness in nursing workflows remains limited. The session will describe a project evaluating the use of an ambient listening documentation tool to reduce nursing documentation time while maintaining usability, professional well-being, and documentation quality when implemented as part of routine clinical care.
