Dr. Katherine Taylor Pearson is an assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a consultant for Safen. She received her DNP degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has over 30 years of experience in nursing informatics, primarily within the federal government. Dr. Pearson is an ANCC board-certified informatics nurse, a certified Six Sigma black belt, and a recipient of Texas Tech University's Outstanding Faculty of the Year award. A retired colonel from the US Army, she has held numerous leadership positions in both military and civilian healthcare settings. Her recent publications focus on the role of artificial intelligence in nursing leadership, highlighting her contributions to advancing health care through technology. Dr. Pearson currently serves as president-elect on the ANIA Board of Directors, further advancing her commitment to informatics leadership and innovation.
