Dr. Michael Sheinberg is an obstetrician/gynecologist in Lancaster Pennsylvania affiliated with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Dr. Sheinberg is a practicing obstetrician gynecologist with close to 30 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, safety, and informatics. As medical director of informatics, he has led the successful implementation of several electronic health records, achieving HIMSS stage 7 accreditation for hospital and physician practices as well as a 2017 HIMSS Davies Award for innovative use of health information and technology to enhance care outcomes. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University, Dr. Sheinberg completed his residency at the University of Michigan in 1996. Throughout his career, he has combined clinical excellence with a passion for informatics and now serves as the chief medical information officer for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. He is a member of the Pennsylvania eHealth HIE Advisory Board and has volunteered as associate validator for HIMSS EMRAM and O-EMRAM surveys. Dr. Sheinberg is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and clinical informatics.
