Ashley McCool is the director of the office of patient transition at Children’s Health System of Texas, where she is responsible for the development and support of pediatric to adult transition services and programming across care delivery. Prior this role, Ashley managed the solid organ transplant program at Children’s Health, overseeing the business and clinical operations for heart, kidney, liver, and intestinal transplant. With over fifteen years of experience in healthcare administration, operations, and leadership in pediatric healthcare, she completed her administrative residency at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She earned a master of science in healthcare administration degree and a bachelor of science in business administration degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma yellow belt. Ashley also serves on the Transition to Adult Care Learning Collaborative for the state and the National Health Care Transition Research Consortium and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
