Dr. Heather Harker Ryan is a nurse scientist and the clinical nurse educator for the ambulatory care services division of the Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Heather has been an ambulatory care nurse focused on pediatric primary and specialized cardiovascular care for over 15 years. In addition to leadership roles with AAACN as editor of the Perspectives in Ambulatory Care Nursing column for the Nursing Economic$ journal and chair-elect of the Staff Patient Education SIG, Heather is also heavily involved in the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association.
