Elise Nelms is the nurse manager of navigation and discharge coordination at the Winship Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she brings over a decade of progressive nursing leadership experience. Elise earned her BSN degree from Fitchburg State College in 2010 and has built her entire nursing career within Emory Healthcare. Since 2015, she has specialized in outpatient oncology and maintains both her oncology certified nurse (OCN) and ambulatory care (AMB-BC) certifications. In 2024, Elise led the redesign of Emory Winship Cancer Institute’s nurse navigation program, contributing to record-high likelihood-to-recommend scores and improving the experience through patient access. Elise is dedicated to advancing patient-centered cancer care through collaborative, data-driven innovation.
