Accurate blood pressure (BP) measurement is essential to the diagnosis of hypertension, appropriate clinical evaluation, and timely initiation of management. However, there are many barriers to obtaining BP in children under three years of age. This session will address how one healthcare institution is implementing standard-of-care procedures for obtaining accurate blood pressure (BP) readings in children under 3 years of age at increased risk of hypertension.
