Accurate labeling and collection of pathology specimens are critical to ensuring patient safety and timely, effective treatment. Errors in these processes may result in misdiagnosis, delayed interventions, or repeat procedures. This session will discuss a quality improvement initiative to reduce specimen labeling and collection errors in ambulatory care departments.
