Andrea Lombard has more than 40 years of experience in nursing. Andrea returned to the ambulatory care setting – an FQHC - in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her primary role is the subject matter expert for infection control, quality improvement, regulations, and orientation/education. Andrea is a seasoned nurse whose journey encompassed acute care nursing, long-term care nursing, public and community health nursing, research, grant writing, epidemiology, teaching, and publishing. Andrea is a parish nurse and as a servant leader served on many boards of directors such as the Arthritis Foundation, American Liver Foundation, Connecticut Public Health Association, Women’s Shelter, and APIC. She is one of the founding nurses of the Connecticut Association of Public Health Nurses. Andrea believes nursing is a vocation and a life of service to the other.
