Dr. Margo Halm is an independent nurse scientist consultant and the official AAACN nurse scientist with over 40 years of experience in nursing and health care. In her professional roles as a doctoral-prepared CNS, nurse scientist, and health care leader, Dr. Halm has enjoyed mentoring nurses and interprofessional teams in learning the EBP process to improve their clinical practice and professional practice environments. She has created and served as the main faculty for EBP fellowship programs in two large Magnet-designated healthcare institutions and is a founding member of the Oregon Nursing Research and Quality Consortium that hosts an annual regional conference to mentor nurses in disseminating their EBP improvement work.
