Dr. Dawn Fletcher is a nurse administrator at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She has worked as a nurse leader for over 10 years and has a passion for preventing workplace violence in healthcare settings. Dawn co-leads the workplace violence prevention efforts for the Florida campus and is a representative on the system complex behavior committee. In addition, Dawn was appointed as the chair for the AAACN Workplace Safety Task Force in October 2022. Prior to joining the Mayo Clinic in Florida, Dawn worked at Emory Healthcare, with two other co-leads, to create a workplace violence prevention program for the system. Dawn's doctoral work was a project on "A leader's response to workplace violence in ambulatory care." In 2021, Dawn testified at the Georgia State Senate Committee on Violence Against Healthcare Workers.
