Jessie Jones-Bell is the USF program director for the new RN transition program in ambulatory care. She developed and implemented the program in partnership with the California Institute for Nursing & Healthcare Task Force. She was part of the AAACN national task force that authored the first white paper on the need for new RN residency programs in ambulatory care as well as one of the contributing authors of the AAACN Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse Residency Program: Transition to the Specialty of Ambulatory Care. She was the primary author of the online toolkit that provides a framework in developing transition to practice programs in ambulatory care in academic settings which is managed through the Ambulatory Care Training Institute at University of San Francisco (USF). She currently works as an educational consultant for the California State Nursing workforce organization Health Impact developing a one-year ambulatory care RN apprenticeship program. She was a co-chair for the AAACN academic-practice partnership guidelines task force.
