Dr. Shivika Chandra is a board-certified neurologist specializing in movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. She is an associate professor in the department of neurology at the McGovern Medical School and serves as the medical director for neurology for LBJ Hospital and UTHealth-Houston clinics in Harris Health. She is also the director for the neurology clerkship at McGovern Medical School and the co-director of the UT-Houston HDSA Huntington's Disease Center of Excellence. A clinician-educator, her areas of interest are Parkinson's disease, medical education (including telemedicine education), advocacy, and improvement for systems of care. Dr Chandra has presented her research findings at numerous regional and national meetings held by the Texas Neurological Society, American Association of Neurology (AAN), American Neurological Association (ANA), and Movement Disorder Society (MDS).
