Description
Differences in genetic makeup among individuals affect what the body does to a drug and what the drug does to the body. The age of an individual can also be a factor since as the body ages, changes can decrease the body's ability to break down or remove certain medications from the system. This session will address considerations related to the pharmacogenomics of medication metabolism in older adults.
