Dr. Whitney Holland graduated with a dual degree as an acute care nurse practitioner/RN first assist in 2011 and DNP in 2016. Her clinical career has primarily been with pulmonary/critical care and lung transplant at UAB Hospital. Currently, she is the lead lung transplant nurse practitioner in the outpatient setting at UAB. She is involved with research trials focusing on chronic rejection and immunology and serves on the national OPTN transplant coordinator committee which helps develop policy for solid organ transplants. Additionally, she has been a clinical adjunct faculty member for the AGACNP program at UAB since 2021.
