Dr. Brette Svensson is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner with Wellstar Health System in Marietta, GA. For the past 12 years she has provided primary care services for post-acute and long-term care patients. Since 2021, Dr. Svensson has served as the medical director for Wellstar's post-acute care department, collaborating with post-acute teams within the nursing home and larger health care system. In addition to precepting APRN students, she also plays an active role in education of family medicine residents during geriatric rotations and clinic grand rounds. She holds a DNP degree from Georgia State School of Nursing and Health Professions, and master's and bachelor's degrees in nursing from Emory University. She is active in the Georgia GAPNA chapter as conference planning committee chair and is part of several national GAPNA committees and groups.
