Dr. Rebekah Hayes has focused her career on the treatment of the aging adult with a specialization in acute and chronic pain management. Since 2021, she has been practicing as a nurse practitioner in the long-term care setting, providing comprehensive care to older adults with complex medical needs. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hayes has been a faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN since 2021, where she is committed to improving geriatric education for future healthcare providers. She actively works to address gaps in the nursing curriculum regarding the care of older adults, advocating for greater emphasis on geriatric principles in nursing education. She currently serves as the president of the Middle Tennessee GAPNA chapter and is also the co-founder and president of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Asian American/Pacific Islander Student Nurses group.
