Dr. Melodee Harris is a board-certified gerontological nurse practitioner with a geropsychiatric nursing practice in rural Arkansas nursing homes. She is a member of the GAPNA Geropsychiatric Nursing Special Interest Group and president of the GAPNA Mid South Chapter. She is a registered applied suicide intervention skills trainer. Dr. Harris serves as a co-investigator on Administration for Community Living and PI on Mission Daybreak funding that supports projects to prevent food insecurity and suicide prevention in older adults and veterans.
