Dr. Grace H. Sun is an assistant dean of APRN programs and a clinical professor at the University of Texas at Tyler. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley, her BSN and MSN degrees from the Johns Hopkins University, and her DNP degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. With over 15 years in academia, she has taught in master’s, BSN-DNP, and post-master's-DNP programs, specializing in curriculum development, online education, and interprofessional education. As an ANCC board-certified family nurse practitioner, Dr. Sun is also an active member of numerous professional organizations, including AANP, Sigma Theta Tau, ANA, and Texas Nurse Practitioners. She is currently serving a second term on the Executive Board of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties as its secretary, and she serves on the steering committee of the practice leadership network of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
