Description
This session will explore the use of marijuana in medicine, providing a clinical overview focusing on pain management. We will examine the mechanisms of the endocannabinoid system, along with pharmacology of cannabinoids. Current research on the use of cannabis for the treatment of pain will be reviewed and recommendations for the integration of cannabis into clinical practice, research, and implications with the current US drug policy will be addressed.
