Dr. Andrea Boohaker is the associate vice president of ambulatory care services at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has over 18 years of experience in orthopedic trauma and orthopedic surgery. She holds a DNP degree from UAB and an MSN degree from Vanderbilt University. She most recently held a position of director of advanced practice providers at UAB. Her clinical practice involves autonomously treating patients with upper extremity trauma diagnoses. Dr Boohaker also serves as a clinical assistant professor of nursing for the UAB School of nursing and an adjunct instructor for the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing
