Dr. Somali Nguyen is an assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing. He is a board-certified adult and gerontology acute care nurse practitioner with over 10 years of clinical experience. His background is in emergency medicine and has extensive leadership experience overseeing the implementation and management of the comprehensive vascular access team and medical emergency team at UAB. Dr. Nguyen currently has a faculty practice at UAB in the emergency department. In his faculty role, he is the co-specialty track coordinator for the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner program and the academic integrity coordinator for the MSN program.
