Dr. J. Michelle Moccia is an adult nurse practitioner. She was previous program director of Michign's first senior ER, which opened in 2010 and received ACEP level-1 geriatric emergency department accreditation (8th in the US). Dr. Moccia is a past president of GAPNA and chair of Chapter Leadership and serves on multiple other GAPNA special interest groups and committees. She is the chair of the Michigan Moving Forward Team working closely with the Michigan Forward Nursing Coalition to help make vital changes in policy and practice to improve nursing home quality.
