Dr. Kathy Prue-Owens is a retired Army colonel, nurse researcher, educator, and administrator with more than 40 years of experience across military, healthcare, and academic settings. An associate professor, she has advanced bedside nursing research and healthcare innovation through her work with University of Colorado, Colorado Springs Health. She previously served as medical-surgical nursing consultant to the Army surgeon general and currently serves as chair of the board for the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence, emphasizing leadership, mentorship, and professional development.
