Amy Kalea Kuwata is a clinical nurse informaticist at UCSF Health with more than a decade of informatics experience and a clinical background in obstetrics and labor and delivery. She has board certification in nursing informatics and her work spans adult, perinatal, behavioral health, and other areas of nursing practice. Her work focuses on optimizing clinical workflows, reducing documentation and technology burden, and advancing digital solutions that improve clinician and patient experience. Areas of focus include patient education strategy and technology, digital content, and the evaluation and implementation of solutions that support nursing practice and patient care. Amy has served in various capacities with the ANIA and is committed to advancing the nursing voice in health technology.
