Dr. Susan Fenton is the Dr. Doris L. Ross Professor and Vice Dean for Education at the UTHealth Houston McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, where she is responsible for certificate, master’s degree, and doctoral degree programs. Dr. Fenton currently leads multiple AI education and upskilling initiatives for UTHealth Houston and the University of Texas system health-related institutions. Her research focuses on using and implementing ICD-11, workforce development, and optimizing HIT for preventive and chronic care delivery in low-resource settings. She serves on regional, national, and international committees and boards of professional associations.
