Rachell Dumas is the founder and CEO of HEARD Innovations Corporation and a doctoral student pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Informatics degree. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Informatics degree and brings more than 10 years of healthcare, electronic health record, and health technology experience. Throughout her career, Rachell has served in diverse clinical and technology-enabled roles. Her combined clinical, informatics, and lived experiences inform her work developing technology that strengthens patient advocacy, improves communication, and supports more equitable healthcare navigation. Rachell’s leadership and innovation have been recognized through the Vital Voices Global Partnership, NASDAQ Milestone Circles, NVIDIA Inception, Google for Startups, and the American Nurses Association. Her work and personal journey have also been featured by Essence, EBONY, Women’s Health, CNBC, and other national and industry publications. Through HEARD, she is advancing cross-sector partnerships that transform patient and nurse insights into scalable solutions that improve workforce readiness, well-being, and healthcare outcomes.
