As chief nursing informatics officer at Henry Ford Health since 2017, Donna Summers leverages her 39 years of healthcare experience to lead nursing technology strategy across the organization's hospitals and all ambulatory teams. She directs virtual acute care and vICU expansion, integrates AI tools for clinical documentation, and standardizes EHR systems and vendor platforms. Donna also provides critical technical guidance for the Destination: Grand project and champions initiatives that enhance nurse efficiency and unify clinical communications. She has served on Michigan Organization of Nurse Leaders and HIMSS Nursing Informatics committees. Currently, she is serving as secretary for the Great Lakes ANIA chapter and on Epic’s nurse efficiency analytics council.
