Joy Huang has over 20 years of experience in clinical informatics. She currently serves as the clinical informatics director at Baylor Scott & White Health – Greater Austin Region. As the informatics operational leader for the region, she manages relationships with hospital/ambulatory care staff members and providers, information services, and other informaticists to coordinate and lead health information technology activities, initiatives, and resources. She also provides oversight of the region’s data needs for optimal use of technology and support for the provision of care. Prior to her role at BSWH, Joy worked in various roles as a registered nurse in PICU and IMC, educator, project coordinator and leader, and clinical informatics manager. Joy’s personal vision is to converge research, technology, and people to deliver the best possible care and produce the best possible outcome. She has a passion for building teams and establishing collaborative working environment. Joy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002 and her Master of Business Administration degree from Walden University in 2016.
